Our Beginnings
Maquet’s Rail House started out as mostly a place for friends to gather and get a good drink. There was no real kitchen to speak of. The food choices were good but minimal. When the Rail House expanded into the adjoining building in 2019 a new, state-of-the-art kitchen was built including a real Italian brick pizza oven imported from Naples, Italy.
Infused with History
The buildings on the block were originally built around 1895 out of locally made brick. Most buildings in this area housed local manufacturing businesses with close-by, easy transport to the river. Later usages included warehouse storage and a variety of retail establishments.
